The Way of St. James

On the world's most important Christian pilgrimage route, the faithful from all over Europe make their way to the tomb of St James in Santiago de Compostela in north-east Galicia. The Austrian Way of St James runs directly through the TirolWest holiday region, which also offers a place of pilgrimage directly on the Way of St James in Kronburg. All pilgrims can look forward to several day hikes in one of the most beautiful landscapes in Austria.

• ATTENTION: Since 2024, the route has been changed due to a landslide on the Zintlhang between Strengen and Pians. From the Grins parish church, follow the new signposting down to Pians and alongside Sanna and Rosanna to Strengen. There it rejoins the usual route of the Way of St James.
