The breathtaking view and the summit experience at the 2.512 m high Venet (Glanderspitze), as well as the culinary delights in the retreat in one of the rustic mountain pastures make this circular walk to an unforgettable experience.
The return route leads over the slopes of the Kaunergrat nature park, which in early summer are bathed in the bright red of the alpine roses whose resinous, sweet scent sets the senses in a state of intoxication.
From Zams with the Venetbahn on the Krahberg. From the mountain station, the ascent to the Glanderspitze takes place in open meadows or pastures in an easterly direction. The last part is a bit steeper over a grassy ridge in serpentines. Continue on the Venetkamm - difficult ridge hike - to the Kreuzjoch and over the Imsterjoch down to the Imsterberger Venetalm, which is reached after about 2.5 hours. From here the well-marked trail leads over the Larcher Alm to the Galflun Alm and Gogles Alm back to the mountain station on the Krahberg. With the gondola lift, the starting point Zams is again easily accessible.
