Tour 6: Allgäu Alps

The Allgäu Alps are the destination of the High-Bike Tour 6.

The Hochtannbergpass is reached via the Arlbergpass and the Flexenpass. The impressive bridge bend is fascinating and a popular photo motif. A little later, the direction indicator is set to Schnepfau, which is not only the start of the wonderful route to Bizau, but also has a wonderfully situated break stop to offer with the Berghaus Kanisfluh.

Alternatively, there is another good opportunity for calorie intake in the well-known “Schwabenhof” motorcycle club on the Riedberg Pass that follows. At 1,420 meters, Germany's highest motorable mountain pass also offers plenty of curves that now carry enthusiastic bikers down to Sonthofen. It continues over the Oberjochpass into the Tannheimer Tal, from where, past the Haldensee and over the Gaichtpass, the entrance to the Lechtal is reached. The return trip to Zams is then initiated from Warth.
