Starting from the parish church Maria Himmelfahrt in Landeck, the pilgrimage path leads via the historic Via Claudia Augusta to Fliess and on to the pilgrimage church Kaltenbrunn, in the Kaunertal.
Start is at the parish church of the Assumption. The path then leads up to Schloss Landeck and continues along Via Claudia Augusta following the signs to Fliess. From there, the signage with the name pilgrimage path leads over Kauns to the Wallsfahrtskirche Kaltenbrunn, at the entrance to Kaunertal and a magnificent view of the Kaunertal Glacier World.
The Documentation Center Via Claudia Augusta documents the Roman Kaiserstraße. In the display cases, finds from the Via Claudia Augusta and a copy of the Tabula Peutingeriana, the only surviving Roman road map, can be admired.
