Grins - Stanz- Schrofenstein ruins

The start and finish of the hike is the football pitch in Grins. From there, walk in the same direction past the sports field on the left, always orientate yourself towards Stanz and take the footpath on the left at the chapel up to the forest. Follow the forest path to the sculpture of the cross-bearer and continue until just before the Schrofenstein castle ruins. Take the path back to the centre of the Zwetschkendorf village of Stanz, past the birthplace of the Baroque master builder Jakob Prantauer and then follow the road that leads directly along the stone fortification wall in the sunny meadows in a practically flat westerly direction back to Grins and the starting point.

Sections of the hike run along the Way of St James. A family-friendly leisure and cultural hike on the sunny plateau to the north-west and north above Landeck.
