Themed trail ‘The Guardians of the Forest’
Discover the forest. Understand nature. Experience the protective forest.
Around Landeck Castle, the tree spirits are waiting to show you their protective forest. On a short, family-friendly themed trail, you will learn in a playful way how the forest holds stones, stores water and provides a habitat for many animals. At interactive stations – from marble runs to forest floors to tree tops – you can look under the bark, search for tracks, build small forest artworks and gradually become a true friend of the forest.

The Protective Forest Theme Trail runs along existing, easily accessible forest paths in the Landeck Castle Forest. The route is natural, mainly gravel or earth, and has slight inclines. There are no permanent barriers or additional interventions in the natural environment. The trail is well suited for families, and sturdy footwear is recommended.
Directions:
The Protective Forest Theme Trail starts at Landeck Castle and leads from there along existing forest paths through the castle forest. Along a circular route, visitors pass six thematically coordinated stations. The route is mostly slightly uphill and leads back to the starting point. The walking time is approximately 45–60 minutes, but you should allow more time for reading, discovering and participating.
