Fließ is located in the middle of the Alps on the Via Claudia Augusta in the border triangle Austria-Switzerland-Italy. The widely branched village is picturesquely situated on a sunny slope and is the heart of the nature park Kaunergrat.

The small town is located on the 2000 year old Roman road Via Claudia Augusta. Finds of the ancient road are exhibited in the Documentation Center and the Archaeological Museum in Fliess.
