Neuschwanstein Castle - the castle of the fairy tale king.

Seven weeks after the death of King Ludwig II, Neuschwanstein was opened to the public in 1886. The shameless King had built the castle to withdraw from the public & now his refuge became a crowd puller.

Neuschwanstein is today one of the most visited castles in Europe. Around 1.4 million people annually visit the "Castle of the Fairy Tale King". In summer, on average, more than 6,000 visitors a day crowd through rooms intended for a single resident.
