Special features between rock and water - Kaunergrat Nature Park

The Luis Trenker Steig leads through the geologically interesting nature reserve of the Arzler Pitzeklamm. Here, too, the vertical rock faces typical of a gorge can be found, but actually it is the mixed linden-maple forest as well as the sycamore-ash forest that made the natural forest reserve a Natura 2000 area. During the leisurely hike with a mountain guide, there is enough time to search the highly endangered tufa springs for the butterwort Pinguicula alpina - a carnivorous mountain plant. A highly recommended natural history excursion in the field of tension between rock and water. Registration the day before in the nature park office on tel. +43.5449.6304 or +43.664.9566589 is essential
