Yellow Fleet / Gummimamba - Two trios, boundless joy of playing & creative energy in one evening!
YELLOW FLEET is the shimmering, heated dream of three musicians who have their fingers and feelers everywhere. Christoph Kuntner, Benjamin Lampert & Max Schrott are united by blind understanding, nonchalance & humor, which also runs through their music. The three call jazz their home in the broadest sense - from there they listen together in all kinds of directions, searching and finding.

The trio GUMMIMAMBA performs a skillful balancing act between free playing and composed pieces. Elastic improvisations degenerate, the metamorphosis to casual grooves is accomplished with playful ease. Perhaps a look at music history will help to decipher the band's name: In the 1950s, Perez Prado, who was known as the "King of Mambo", achieved worldwide success with the trumpet solo "Rubber Mambo". Tragically, he died years later from the
bite of a mamba.
