The ensemble project "MUSICA ORIZZONTE" is dedicating this season to the work "Stabat Mater 1727" by Agostini Steffani. It will be performed on September 20, 2026 in the Landeck parish church
We are delighted to be continuing our own festival ensemble project this year, which is dedicated to historically informed

With refined harmonies and an almost dramatic inwardness, Steffani sets the story of Mary's suffering in music that is both intimate and magnificent. This year's Musica Orizzonte concert will be conducted by Daniel Freistetter, Director of Collegiate Music at the Augustinian monastery of Klosterneuburg, and invites you to imagine yourself in the Chapelle Royale at Versailles, where Steffani once played alongside Jean-Baptiste Lully.
