In a democratic society, public space is a place of communication, interaction and identification. Works of art in public spaces are far more than just aesthetic decoration. They make art accessible to everyone, regardless of their social, cultural and economic background.
The municipality of Zams has a number of works of art in public spaces. In addition to the works by Franz Xaver Hauser that have already been recorded, other works created in the 20th and 21st centuries have been labeled and documented in a folder. The works by Gerold Wucherer, Gerald Nitsche, Markus Wörgötter, Christine Prantauer & Manfred Moser differ in their materiality, size and design and are mainly located in the area of art in architecture.
