"prima la musica" is the largest Austrian youth music competition and will take place in Landeck this year. The competition is for children and young people who enjoy making music and want to achieve special musical performances
The prima la musica competition for the whole of Tyrol will be organized in 2025 by the province of Tyrol in cooperation with the Autonomous Province of Bolzano - South Tyrol and the Landesmusikschule Landeck.
The young artists will present a musically challenging program in age groups A and B, as well as in age groups 1 - 4 and in the prima la musicaPLUS categories (with extended requirements and for students) at six venues in Landeck (Stadtsaal Landeck, LMS Landeck, Katharina Lins Saal, STMK rehearsal room, Aula Gymnasium Perjen, VS Bruggen gymnasium).
The participants come from the 27 Tyrolean provincial music schools, the 3 Tyrolean municipal music schools, the
South Tyrolean music schools, the Tyrolean State Conservatory, the "Claudio Monteverdi Bolzano" Conservatory, the Innsbruck Music High School and the Mozarteum University Salzburg as well as private institutions. In total, just over 900 young musicians have registered for this competition.
With 737 evaluations and 907 participants, the Tyrolean state competition is one of the largest state competitions in Austria. The competition performances begin on Monday, March 10, 2025 and end on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.
