Clara Luzia won the Amadeus Award in the "FM4 Alternative Act of the Year" category in 2008, and the singer with her fragile stature and powerful voice has been the talk of the town ever since.
Over the past few years, Clara Luzia and her regular band have successively blasted their way out of seated concerts and those in decibel-sensitive environments. But since the demand for this has not diminished, there was only one thing to do: a new band was needed to take on the quieter side of Clara's oeuvre.
Judith Ferstl on double bass, Catharina Priemer-Humpel on drums, Kaya Meller on trumpet and Claudia Kottal on piano and voice provide a sometimes solid, sometimes fragile carpet of sound on which Clara Luzia makes herself at home.
In addition to well-known and brand-new works from her own pen, the setlist includes one or two covers - and some of Clara's German-language numbers finally find a place in the new program "The Quiet Version".
