20:00 O'Clock
HORIZONTE Landeck will be presenting works from the early Baroque period in the Landeck parish church on 18 October at 20:00 to coincide with All Saints' Day
The new vocal and instrumental ensemble "Musical Orrizonte", founded especially for HORIZONTE, is dedicated to the music of the 16th and 17th centuries. The ensemble will make its debut under the direction of the sought-after South Tyrolean conductor and organist Marian Polin on October 18 in the parish church in Landeck, whose historical aura makes the sound of early music a special experience.
Works by Heinrich Schütz will be performed. Schütz is undisputedly one of the greatest composers of this era. His passions and motets in particular helped to shape the musical style of the early Baroque period. With his Exequien, he created an artistic and at the same time intimate funeral composition.
The performers:
Katharina Wegscheider (soprano)
Veronika Mair (soprano)
Lea Müller (alto)
Martin Lechleitner (tenor)
Johannes Bamberger (tenor)
Korbinian Schlag (bass)
Alessandro Baldessarini (theorbo)
Joachim Pedarnig (violin)
Marian Polin (organ & musical direction)
Admission: voluntary donations
