Meeting point 11:50 a.m. Landeck /Zams train station, 12:02 p.m. ride with the post bus to Grins, hike through the village of Grins to the sports field, continue along the forest path to Wasseralp in the direction of Stanz. Follow this path, which turns into a forest path and reaches the "Kreuztragenden" where a bench invites you to take a break. After a break for a drink, you continue either to the ruins, if the group so wishes, or to the Dorfwirt Stanz. After the visit to the ruins or the stop at the Dorfwirt, you stop for a tasting at one of the distilleries (tasting about ½ hour). Together you go by bus at 17:00 back to Landeck (17:15 Landeck center).
The sheltered sunny location, the dry and warm climate, skilful irrigation and the industriousness of the locals have given rise to a plum paradise in Stanz. Of the 160 households in the municipality, 53 exercise the distilling right. There also grows the famous "Stanzer Zwetschke" which is one of the many regions of pleasure in Austria.
