The Zams Ski Hut and the Zammer Alm are located right next to the ski slope in the Venet Ski Area.
From the village center in Zams you walk on the paved Zammerberg road in the southeast to the hamlet of Anreit. A few meters after the last house branches off a forest right. Follow this one and ascend in several turns uphill. The right branching ways (trams, forest road 2) are not considered. After about 1 hour walk you reach "Ebenmoos", a beautiful place with lush mountain meadows, pretty weekend houses and a small chapel. From here you have a magnificent view of the valley. After another half hour, the ski run crosses the path. At this point (signs) you leave the forest road and follow the narrow path that leads to the right in the mountain meadows. Along the ski run, past weekend cottages, crossing the track to the middle station, the path leads directly to the Zammer Alm. From here it is about 10 minutes to the Speichersee.
If you do not want to hike this trail, the alternative is to hike in about 15 minutes from the Zammer Ski Hut and Zammer Alm to the middle station of the Venetbahn. Here the gondola drives into the valley to Zams.
