Steinseehütte - Württemberger Haus

The second day of the three-day circular hike, the hike from the Steinseehütte to the Württemberger Haus, is the most difficult part of the multi-day hike through the barren Lechtal Alps.

This is the start of the challenging high-level trail - along the 20th stage of the Adlerweg - to the Württemberger Haus. The trail climbs gently up to the Steinkarscharte and over grassy slopes and scree before ascending more steeply through rocks and then gravel to the Roßkarscharte. After the saddle, the route descends steeply in a narrow rocky gully (ropes), later descending on scree in the slightly wider cirque. Finally, the route leads steeply upwards to the Gebäudjoch. The route continues steeply downhill on an unsecured path, over grassy slopes and finally in serpentines to the Württemberger Haus.

The Steinseehütte, located below the lake of the same name on a green terrace, surrounded by the mighty Parzinn group, is an ideal base for climbing, hiking, mountaineering, or just to unwind.

Mountain hut: Württemberger Haus 2 220m

Like the neighbouring Steinseehütte and Memmingerhütte, the Württemberger Haus (2,220 m) is located on the Lechtaler Höhenweg and the Adlerweg.

Bike & Hike: Alfutzalm Steinseehütte

A beautiful hiking trail leads from the Alfutzalm to the Steinseehütte. Von der Steinseehütte kann man dann noch in ca. 45 Minuten bis hinauf zum Steinsee wandern.

This three-day tour leads from Zams into the mysterious world of the barren Lechtal Alps. You immerse yourself in wonderful mountain solitude and spend the night in two cosy Alpine Club mountain huts. Back to Zams, you hike through the Zammer Loch, one of the most beautiful mountain valleys in Europe.

Hut & alpine pasture hiking: Zams Württemberger Haus 631

The path leads steeply up to the Burschlbödele, above the climbing area Burschlwand, and then leads along the long-distance trail E5 to the Jagerhütte. There, the path branches off and leads up to the Württemberger Haus.
The Württemberger Haus is closed in summer 2025 due to renovation work. No overnight accommodation possible!
